Shirley Brooks
Life & Business Strategist & Consultant
Navigating over two decades in Logistics & Supply Chain, I reached a turning point where I could no longer blame my career for my unhappiness.
Despite my notable achievements, climbing the corporate ladder didn’t fulfill me. The demanding work left me emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually depleted, failing to resonate with my core self.
The real obstacles? My fears, insecurities, and the paralyzing grip of impostor syndrome. They prevented me from setting and achieving my ambitions, refining my mindset and embracing my true life’s purpose.
Today, my greatest joy comes from igniting those transformational ‘aha’ moments for women. I inspire them to seize their power intentionally, craft lives rich in purpose, and thrive—not just survive. I empower women in business and leadership to live lives that are not only successful but also soulful and prosperous in the truest sense.

Tanya Hansler
Counsellor
Tanya as worked helping others as a child and youth worker and then a social worker until she became a caregiver full time in 2017. She has three children with her husband Michael, their third child Avaiyah has special needs.
Avaiyah was born with an unexpected diagnosis of Down Syndrome which led to many medical complexities. This included an ostomy bag, open heart surgery at the start of the pandemic in 2020 and feeding issues since birth. This led to a g-tube when she was only one month old which she continues to use as her sole source of nutrition. After immense advocacy within the medical and education system, various therapies and complex care Avaiyah is 5 years old and is thriving however the advocacy continues.
Tanya’s husband Michael is Jamaican born, and when he was 10 he learned he had sickle cell disease since birth. In 2019 Michael suffered from near fatal blood clots in his lungs as a complication of this disease and further to that was diagnosed with severe depression. It was during this time both Michael and Tanya faced their biggest obstacles within the medical system to get Michael the care he continues to need. This led to connections with SCAGO (Sickle Cell Awareness Group of Ontario) and other allies to grow awareness of concerns regarding Michael’s necessary and deserved care.
Tanya’s passion remains with helping others and in the last two years has been facilitating online support groups for caregivers for the Ontario Caregiver Organization. Recently she has co-created a peer to peer support group for families with members who have feeding tubes in Ontario. This has brought a further awareness to the inequities in caregiving and barriers within the systems that support caregivers and their families.
Tanya’s belief in advocacy through telling her story to help others has led her to being interviewed for TVO the Agenda, speaking at conferences, and yearly speaking engagements at Ontario colleges and universities including UWO’s Child Health Symposium. Most recently, both Tanya and Michael recording a podcast “Time to Talk” with CTV host Michelle Jobin in relation to culture, caregiving, mental health and helping other caregivers.
