Jen Slay
Jennifer Slay is a dynamic and award-winning Registered Social Worker, certified life coach, therapist, and Anti-Racism educator with over 22 years of experience in the field. Holding an Honors Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Social Work and a Master’s degree in Social Work, Jennifer is committed to ongoing professional development, with certifications in DISC training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Neurolinguistics, and EMDR therapy.
Recognized for her community work, Jennifer was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013 and was named one of Canada’s Women of Confidence by Chatelaine magazine. She co-executive produced the award-winning TV show Melanated View, which fosters important dialogues on anti-racism.
Jennifer’s passion for empowering others has led her to create workshops and programs like “Slay Your Inner Critic,” helping individuals break through limitations and achieve their dreams. As a motivational speaker, Jennifer captivates audiences with her engaging and energetic presentations, blending education with humor.
Outside of her professional work, Jennifer is a published author, an active volunteer, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She embodies the philosophy, “To whom much is given, much is required,” and continues to inspire others to reach their full potential.
